Zoom: Flamenco Studies
Mondays 7:15-8:00pm EST via Zoom
Part flamenco history, part musical structure analysis, part dance analysis. This class will give students tools to make the most of the videos available on YouTube and live-streamed performances. A great way to deepen your understanding and appreciation of flamenco. Great for dancers and non-dancers alike, and musicians too! Definitely beats watching Netflix (in my opinion).  ;)  Parts of the class will be based on a seminar taught at Oberlin College, titled the Politics & Poetics of Flamenco.
