Inspiring Individuals through flamenco
Educational Programs
Growing appreciation for and knowledge of flamenco is at the heart of our mission. We offer flamenco classes in K-12, university, and public settings.
K-12 Education
Our educational performances and residencies feature interactive and engaged learning for students of all ages through with live music and dance, combined with brief explanations of the history, culture, and music of flamenco. We work with schools to best serve student needs and curriculum alignment. Students learn about art & culture.
Online Courses
Purchase our recorded courses and study flamenco on your own time and at your own pace. These include dance and flamenco history courses.
Higher Education
Alice Blumenfeld has been teaching in university settings since 2013. She held the position of Visiting Assistant Professor at Oberlin College from 2018-2020 and currently teaches at the University of Akron and Cuyahoga Community College. She offers guest lectures and workshops in Spanish and Dance classes for higher education.
Apprenticeship
For dancers serious about studying flamenco in-depth, participants study with Alice Blumenfeld in an intensive, part-time training program and they: acquire an understanding of flamenco technique & musicality, improve coordination & rhythm for all dance forms, learn new choreography, and understand flamenco history and culture. Dancers showing strong potential may be called upon to dance with ABREPASO.
