Feria de Cleveland is an annual celebration bringing the vibrant energy of Spain’s spring fairs to Cleveland! Hosted by Abrepaso Flamenco and the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center, this family-friendly event features live flamenco performances, dance competitions, authentic Spanish fashion, music, arts and crafts, and delicious food. Rooted in community and cultural exchange, the Feria offers a joyful space to experience the rich traditions of Andalusia while connecting with Cleveland’s diverse cultural landscape. Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of dance, music, and celebration!

2-3:30pm Sevilla, Huelva, Cádiz, y Graná
See regional dances of Andalusia and learn how to dance Sevillanas. Featuring Abrepaso Flamenco’s Alice Blumenfeld and En Camino, our community performance group.
3:30-4:15pm De Ida y Vuelta
The flamenco family of songs called Ida y vuelta are the round-trip songs and dances in flamenco that are heavily influenced by Afro-Latino musical styles. Abrepaso’s students from the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center and our adult classes will perform colombianas, a flamenco style based on a Mexican song with rhythmic influence from Cuba. We’ll also have special guests Alberto Ramos Cordero and Micaela Colleen Barrett from the Cleveland Tango School performing and teaching a short lesson!
4:15-5pm Lo clásico
Featuring performances by the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society along with traditional flamenco pieces, we’ll highlight Spain’s unique aesthetics within classical music. Our fashion competition will also take place during this hour.
